1 cup sooji ( semolina)
1 cup rice flour
1/2 cup maida ( all purpose flour)
3 green chillis ( chopped)
2 pinches of hing
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tbs ginger ( chopped)
salt
water to make batter
METHOD
Mix all the above ingredients with water ( until u get butter milk like consistency ).
Heat tava then sprinkle the batter with hand on hot tava as seen in above picture ,drizzle 1 tsp
oil and cook on medium high for 3 to 4 min until crisp and golden .

ReplyDeleteHmmmm...these look so light and airy. Having messed up my first attempt at urad dal dosa, I tried these, but they came out a little too thick. I suspect I did not thin the batter out enough or spread it thinly on a very hot griddle. Does that sound right, Sagari?
ReplyDeleteSusan --- yes susan the batter must be very thin and we need to pour on a hot griddle and let it cook on medium high for 3 to 4 min ,try next time u will defently get nice and crispy dosa

love rava dosa. But never get such crisp consistency. Shud try ur method.
