Ghee rice with Moong dal curry


Ingredients for Moond dhal

1 cup whole moong dhal ( green )
1 tomato (chopped)
1 onion (chopped)
3 garlic cloves ( chopped)
1 tsp cumin seeds and musturd seeds
1/2 tsp turmuric
1 tsp chillis powder
1 tsp garam masala powder
1 tsp kasuri methi
2 tbs oil
salt
1 tbs butter
cilantro
2 cardamom pods,cloves,cinnamon

Method



Soak moong dal over night


Heat oil in a preassure cooker add cumin seeds ,musturd seeds,cardamom pods,cloves ,cinnamon fry for min then add chopped garlic fry until golden


Now add chopped onions ,salt,turmuric sautee untill onions are soft then add chopped tomatoes,garam masala,kasurimethi,chilli powder cook on low flame until tomatoes are mashed

Now add soaked moong dhal and 2 cups water ,mix everything and cook until 2 wistles ( or until dal becomes soft) open lid and add chopped cilantro and butter



DONE



Ingredients for ghee rice

2 cups basmathi rice
1/2 cup frozen green peas
2 cardamom pods,cloves,cinnamon
3 green clillis (slit)
3 tbs ghee
salt

Method

Wash rice 2 to 3 times and soak for 30 min

Add 1: 2 ratio of rice and water add salt and 1/2 tsp ghee or butter ,cook until rice is fluffy , spread it on a wide plate and cool for sometime

Cook frozen green peas with salt in a microwave for 3 min

Heat ghee in a wide pan add cardamom,cloves,cinnamon,green clillis fry for a min then add green peas and cooled rice mix everything fry for 2 to 3 min

Adjust salt and done

Serve hot with moongdal curry
