1 lb whole chicken (or) 4 chicken thighs ( do not use only breast meat)
1 large Onion (chopped)
1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
1 tsp Pepper Powder
1 Tomato (chopped)
1/2 tsp turmuric
2 to 3 Cloves
piece of Cinnamon
1 tbs Ginger and Garlic paste
Salt
5 green chillis (slit)
4 tbs oil
1 tsp cumin and musturd seeds
Heat oil in a wide pan add cloves, cinnamon,cumin seeds,musturd seeds when they start to splutter add chopped onions , green chillis and salt fry until onions become golden brown
Then add ginger garlic paste ,turmuric fry 2 min then add chopped tomatoes ,garam masala
sautee on low flame untill tomatoes are mushy and oil ozzes out of masala
Add chicken and fry for 3 to 4 min on high then cover and cook on a low flame until chicken
is cooked completely ( do not add any water)
Once chicken is cooked completely add pepper powder and fry for 2 more min
DONE
serve hot with rice or roti
I just came from Indo's place, where she had a yummy chicken fry... and what do I see here! I am seriously craving for some spicy chicken fry now... :)
