Egg bajjilu (egg fritters)


Ingredinets

6 eggs
1 cup besan (gram flour)
2 tbs rice flour
pinch of baking soda
salt
water to make batter
oil for deep fry
1/2 lemon

Ingredients for Pappula podi (dalia power )

In a blender combine

1/2 cup dalia
1 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 inch tamarind
salt

Grind all the above ingredients to a fine powder and keep aside



Method
Boil eggs and cut in to half
.
Make a batter with besan, rice flour ,baking soda , salt and water ( not too thick or not too thin)
.
Heat oil in a frying pan
.
Dip boiled egg halfes in to batter and fry in oil on a medium heat till golden
Fry remaing eggs in 2 to 3 batches
.
Once u complete frying all the eggs, make a slit in the middle of fried egg and stuff with 1/2 tsp of dalia powder and sqeeze 2 to 3 drops of lemon juice
.
Done SERVE HOT

  3. This totally reminded me of home back in India, my bro and I used to often visit a gaadiwala who made these...we call them egg bonda...yummy yummmy Sagari!
