Califlower Manchurian

Ingredients

3 cups califlower florets
1 cup corn starch
1/2 cup all purpose flour
oil for deep frying
salt

For making sauce

2 tbs garlic (chopped finely)
2 tbs ginger (chopped finely)
1 cup onions (chopped finely)
5 to 6 green chillis (grind to a chunkey paste)
1 bell pepper ( chopped in to cubes) optional
1/2 cup cilantro
2 tbs soy sauce
2 tbs tomato ketchup
1 tbs chilli garlic sauce ( optional)
3 tbs oil
1/2 tsp sugar

Method
Boil califlower florets with salt and water for 1o min ,until raw smell is gone,drain and keep them aside
In a bowl make a loose batter of corn starch,all purpose flour,salt and water
Heat oil in a pan ( for deep frying) ,dip califlower florets in to batter and drop in to oil ,fry on medium flame until crisp
Drain in paper towel and keep aside

Sauce
Heat 3 tbs oil in a wide pan
Add chopped garlic and ginger fry for 2 min then add green chilli paste ,onions and cilantro sautee until onions become soft then bell peppers fry for another 2 min
Now add soysauce,tomato ketchup,and chilli garlic sauce mix everything and add
above fried califlower florets ,mix everything and fry on a high flame for 5 min
Done serve hot

If u want a saucy manchurian to eat with fried rice then add 1 cup water to the above sauce ( before adding fried florets ) bring to boil ,adjust salt then add fried califlower florets mix and add a tbs of corn starch mixture ( 1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tsp water) Mix everything and cook until sauce becomes thick
Done serve hot with fried rice
