Pesara Pappu

1 cup split moong dal ( pesara papu)
4 green chilies
2 tomatoes
1 spring cilantro
1/2 tsp turmuric
1 tsp oil
3 tbs oil
3 garlic cloves crushed
1 tbs chopped onion
1 tsp cumin seeds and musturd seeds
1 dry red chilli
curry leaves
Wash dal and preassure cook with green chillis, cilantro , turmuric and 1 tsp oil ,until soft
Mash dal
Add salt and squeeze tomatoes in to dal and cook for another 5 to 10 min
Now heat oil in small pan add all the tadka ingredients ,fry until brown and add to dal
DONE ,serve hot with rice or roti

this dal is simplicity at its best Sagari. My mom used to pair this with phulka's and I was reminded of that the moment I saw your pic.

Lovely click, dear. We make this too, only thing is we call it masala paruppu curry :-)yeah, and it's indeed great with rice, and with a pappad...wah!
