Tomatillo curry

Ingredients :
4 tomatillos ( chopped in to cubes)
1 medium onion ( chopped)
3 tbs oil
3 garlic cloves ( minsed)
1/2 tsp turmuric
1 tsp cumin and musturd seeds
1 tsp coriander powder
salt

for grinding:

5 tbs peanuts ( roasted)
dry red chiilis ( according to taste )
1/2 cup water

grind everything to a smooth paste




method:
Heat oil in a pan add cumin and musturd seeds then add garlic and onions fry for 2 min
now add chopped tomatillos ,turmuric and salt fry for 2 min then cover and cook on a low flame
until tomatillos became soft and cooked then add ground peanut and chilli paste , coriander powder adjust water and salt according to the desired consistancy then cover and cook on a low flame for 10 min done.
SERVE hot with rice or roti

Nice dish Sagari..Have never cooked tomatillo, will try ur recipe sometime..Looks delish..Love the truffles in ur earlier post too..Could just devour them all within a few minutes :)..yummy..

Nice recipe. I have never bought or tried tomatillo, but a looks a tasty dish to try out. I like the truffles in your earlier post as well. Wow, i could never get to making them. Hats off to you!

Sounds tangy and delicious! Tomatoes here hardly have much tang, so this would be a great substitute. I love Cynthia's idea about a tomatillo achar too..

I've not cooked much with tomatillos. Chutney looks so good and tempting. Adding peanuts must have enchanced the taste too.
